With just days before the premiere of her Netflix original Queen Sono, Pearl Thusi has made it to the cover of yet another magazine.
Cosmopolitan has launched a ‘Netflix Issue’, a global first for the magazine brand. Pearl is appropriately the cover girl, with her big Netflix appearance being just days away.
This inaugural Netflix issue features interviews with local TV and film industry insiders, as well as several social media influencers.
Speaking of the issue, Holly Meadows, the Editor in Chief at Cosmopolitan SA said, “In a time where Netflix is one of the top-five websites in the world in terms of traffic volume, and the Cosmo girl spends (on average) three hours a day streaming video, this issue made complete sense for our series-obsessed, Millennial and Generation Z audience.”
Pearl posted a picture of the cover on her Instagram, saying she was honoured to be on the first edition of a Cosmopolitan Netflix Issue.
“I’m so honoured to be in @cosmopolitansa’s first-ever Netflix issue ahead of the release of @queensononetflix on @netflixsa! For this issue, we shot with an incredible all-female, badass crew and four of SA’s finest up-and-coming screen queens in the local industry who I’ve handpicked as the next big things!
