Vuyo Dabula’s Plan To Rejoin Generations Cast Backfires

Vuyo Dabula‘s plan to rejoin Generations has failed. Vuyo  played Gaddafi on the Generations series.

Some weeks back, he asked to be released from his contract so that he could film Season 2 of Netflix’s Queen Sono. The Netflix Show has however been cancelled, which has left Vuyo hoping to get back his old job.

However, Generation’s producers have been firm in saying no, with sources saying that they had write out his character without affecting others – a difficult task.

“It was a nightmare having to scramble an exit story for him as he was one one of the principal character,” a source said. “Planning his exit scenes wasn’t easy as he had already been written into season 7 which started last month.”

This comes in light of a rumored ultimatum that the actor had been given by the producers of Generations to either stay with the show or go shoot Queen Sono, and Vuyo Dabula chose the latter.

Vuyo joined the soap after some cast members demanded more pay from the producer. His request to be released from his contract came as a shock to his colleagues since the show provided him with financial stability.
