Amazon is Hiring in Cape Town
Online retail giant Amazon is on a hiring spree in South Africa.
The company has only maintained a small presence in Africa since its founding 25 years ago, but is expected to change that with an ‘African region’ segment in the first half of 2020.
Cape Town will serve as the headquarters, and the company is looking for qualified staff.
Amazon has had a presence in South Africa since 2004, and even recently moved into a new 8-floor building. It is thought that their local operations revolve around AWS, and not the retail business they are best known for.

They have also infrastructure points of presence in Cape Town and Johannesburg, as part of the 138 points of presence they have across the world.
