Idols SA Host Proverb Exits Kaya FM

Idols SA host and radio personality, Tebogo Thekisho who is popularly known as Proverb has announced his exit from Kaya FM after four years with the radio station. The rapper hosted two shows on the station namely, “Kayasette” and “The Winner’s Circle”. He focussed on musicians and held unplugged sessions for his Friday show, ‘Kayasette’ and had sit-downs with trailblazers on his Saturday show, ‘The Winner’s Circle’.

The producer released a statement a few days ago where he thanked the station for providing him the opportunity, support and the platform to be on air for four years.

“Thank you so much, Kaya FM. I am eternally grateful for the wonderful experience and opportunity. My deepest gratitude to Afropolitans for spending their weekends with me the last four years, all the best and God Bless.”

The station’s interim MD, Colleen Louw also released a statement where they thanked the Idols SA producer for his incredible service and also stated that he’ll be missed dearly by the Kaya family.

“Both of his shows have been a part of the station’s story, and we are sad to see him go. We thank him for his service, his incredible work ethic and the wonderful energy he brought to the station.”
It is alleged that DJ Keyez will be standing in for ProVerb until a replacement is announced. Tweeps are now suspicious of the timing of Proverb’s sudden departure with Kaya FM and now predict that he will be joining Highveld stereo’s 94.7. They’re speculating that ProVerb will be replacing DJ Fresh and Euphonik who have just been fired by the station barely 48 hours later. The two DJ’s were fired after a woman accused them of rape on social media.
