On Thursday evening, about 12 hours ahead of its global launch, Queen Sono was premiered at Joburg Theatre.
The red carpet event attracted the biggest names in South African entertainment, from actors to singers. It was a night for every star to put their best leg forward, and most delivered on the red carpet and at the afterparty.
Queen Sono is Netflix first African original. It stars Pearl Thusi as a South African spy engaging in acts of espionage across Africa. All six episodes will be available to stream today at 10am local time.
