Actress and media personality Thando ‘Thabooty’ Thabethe has taken to social media to pay tribute to her mother.
In a moving Twitter post, the TV presenter recognized her mother as the ‘strongest person she knows’.
She recounted how her mom took an early retirement so she could use that money to get her through University to study accounting. Though she eventually decided not to pursue that career choice, her mother was still supportive of her in her early media days.
”She then would park her busted old Audi, without heater in the coldest of winters and sit in the parking lot while I do grave yard radio show that wasn’t even mine,” Thabethe wrote.
”I have never quite grasped how forward thinking and mentally liberated she must have been to not only be okay with my ‘wild’ dreams but to actually get behind them and be my biggest supporter. I love you mom.”

This is not the first time Thabethe is appreciating her mother. In 2017, she was on everyone’s lips when she presented her mom the gift of a brand new Mercedes Benz. ”Best thing I’ve ever done…love u mom,” she wrote on Twitter alongside a picture of her kissing her mother.
