South African model and media personality turned restaurateur, Maps Maponyane, is moving on well with his dream to take over the country’s burger scene.
Maps has opened doors to his second ‘Buns Out’ restaurant, this time in Durban.
He opened his first outlet in September last year in Johannesburg. Writing on Twitter then, Maps said, ”Couldn’t say anything until I brought my toughest critic along, and now that she’s happy – I’m Excited to share that I’ve just opened my first restaurant. A burger spot in Linden, Johannesburg called ‘Buns Out’
Come through for a great quality burger! We’re open every day.” That was alongside a picture of himself and his mother.

Announcing news of his second outlet, Maps wrote on Instagram,
”Are you going to tell them, or should I?”…

It’s in DURBAN, UMHLANGA at Gateway (Shop 1A Palm Boulevard) and it is officially popping up from tomorrow for a few weeks, before deciding whether or not to call it home.”

Buns Out will have on its menu a range of burgers, including the much hyped Beyond ‘meatless’ Burger.
