Bassie Kumalo Pays Tribute to Nomzamo Mbatha
Just last week, it was announced that South African actress Nomzamo Mbatha will play a leading role in upcoming sequel to the 1988 classic, ‘Coming To America 2’.
The 29 year old will be joining an international cast, starring Eddie Murphy. Other cast members include Tracy Morgan, Wesley Snipes, Leslie Jones and KiKi Layne.
Though her character details have not been revealed, Nomzamo is already winning admiration and praise.
One person who has taken time to pay tribute to her, is TV personality Basetsana Kumalo, who also happens to be a family member.
Bassie, 45, has been part of Nomzamo since childhood, and could not hide her admiration in a lengthy Instagram post.
”It was just yesterday seeing this beautiful ”brown eyed girl” playing in the yard and swimming with her sister Karla in our friend’s home, Ntombi and Carlos Pereira in Hurlingham. (You know sweetheart, she watches over you). Today baby girl, you are an international movie star! You have earned that accolade, so bask in it!” she wrote.
”Through the years Zamo, I have watched how hard you have worked to cultivate and hone your craft, with such diligence, precision and determination. Your happy dispostion, childlike manner and exuberance always delighted us when you were growing up. Now the world gets to appreciate the gift of you, in its full essence.
