American comedian and TV host Steve Harvey is in the country.
Straight from announcing that South Africa will have its own version of ‘Family Feud’, which he hosts in the US, Steve Harvey has been on some kind of media tour.
While reporting to studio Tuesday morning, Somizi Mhlongo had a chance encounter with Harvey, who was leaving after an interview.
Somizi greeted him not expecting much, but Lo! and Behold!, the Miss Universe host recognized him.
The excited Idols judge narrated the encounter on Instagram, alongside this photo.
This moment right here is priceless. I walked into the studio as he @iamsteveharveytv was walking out. I contained myself and just said good morning mr Harvey. He said wait. I remember u from 2 years ago at essence fest. That was my reaction on the pic. Then I walked in the studio to get ready for the show. 5 min later he comes back as says what is yo name. I tell him. Then he asked the cameras to leave the room as he has something special to say. The words of advice and wisdom he shared for a good 20 minignited my fire inside to another level. One thing stood out. When he said always remain unique and authentic u will never go hungry. My colleagues @leratokganyago @dineoranaka we just stood there in amazement. God was in that room. Lerato congrats again for that gig last night with him. I’m so full of everything positive right now. And going for everything that’s meant for me.
