It was third time lucky for gospel star Hlengiwe Mhlaba, when she survived a road accident over the weekend.
The singer was on her way to Ermelo, Mpumlanga between Melmoth and Vryheid, KZN when the accident happened, according to the Daily Sun.
While trying to avoid hitting an oncoming car, Mhlaba’s car went up a hill and rolled.
“She tried to avoid the car and her Mercedes Benz went up the mountain and rolled,” family spokesman Nkululeko Khanyi said. “She is not in a position to say anything for now. On her behalf and that of her family, we ask the nation to pray for her.”
Mhalaba and her team are admitted to a hospital in Northern Zululand, but her condition is not known.
In what looks like a strange twist of fate, this is the 3rd time Mhlaba has been involved in an accident this year. Her first was in Durban earlier this year, then another one on her way to Joburg four months later.
In this latest one, she was behind the wheel.
