nokia 3.2 south africaThe new Nokia 3.2 has been launched in South Africa, by its manufacturer HMD Global.

The phone debuted in February at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, and there was confusion as to whether it would in fact launch in South Africa.

HMD has now confirmed that it will launch, together with the rest of its 2019 line up, the Nokia 4.2, Nokia 1 Plus and Nokia 9 PureView.

The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 429 mobile chipset.

It ships with the latest version of Android 9, and a dedicated Google Assistant button.

It has a 13mp rear camera and a 5mp front facing camera. It’s most attractive feature may be its massive 4,000 mAh battery.

“The Nokia 3.2 will revolutionise the way you interact with your smartphone, ensuring that your experience keeps getting better,” said HMD Global Southern Africa general manager Shaun Durandt.

“Premiering the dedicated Google Assistant button, you’ll be able to get directions, make calls, listen to music and get answers to your questions at the touch of a button.”

The Nokia 3.2 will retail at Vodacom stores and other select retailers for R2,399 or R179 p/m on a 24-month contract.
