Woman Found Guilty of Murdering Aunt and Cousin
A woman in Cape Town has been found guilty of twin murders.
Western Cape High Court has convicted Levona Jacobs, a Cape Town resident, of all the ten counts she was facing in relation to the murder or her aunt and cousin.
The 38 year old smothered her two victims to death, before burying their bodies in their own backyard in 2015.
The court concluded that Jacobs murdered the two to gain ownership of her uncle’s home. The victims were a 47 year old woman (her aunt) and her 26 year old son (her cousin).
Western Cape National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Eric Ntabazalila said the state would push for life imprisonment.
