10 Things You Need To Know About Sandile Shezi
Sandile Shezi has had several titles before his name, but the one that has stuck is ‘South Africa’s youngest self-made millionaire’.
He made his money in forex, although sometime not in very clear circumstances. Like in 2015 when the then 23 year old was accused of lying about the extent of his own profits in the trade.
Allegations were that he had falsely claimed that a forex account with R30 million in profit belonged to his company Global Forex Institute (GFI). Questions were raised about the account’s legitimacy, eventually leading Shezi to disown it, arguing that he had not claimed ownership in the first place.
It was still quite unethical that he was using it as training material for GFI students. Course material was sold to the students for R 4000. But there were also allegations that this material was plagiarized from forex sites on the internet.
Indeed, when News24 compared the material to the suspected original source, they found them identical.
