Durban Man Electrocuted Then Knocked Down by Car

A Durban man has died after two successive misfortunes during the course of his work.

According to Rescue Care spokesperson Garrith Jamieson, the man had been working on overhead wires near Bluff Road in the Bluff area. He was first electrocuted which led to his fall.

According to paramedics, a vehicle then ran him over, eliminating any chance of survival. “He sustained an electrocution and had fallen down below. He stumbled across the roadway and was unfortunately knocked down by a vehicle.” Jamieson said.

Efforts by paramedics to revive him did not bear fruit.
