Actress Lindiwe Ndlovu Dies After Short Illness
South African actress Lindiwe Ndlovu has passed away at the age of 44. The family of the late actress has confirmed that she passed away on Monday morning. This tragic event took place only 3 days after the actress celebrated her 44th birthday.
She passed away at her home after falling sick from around 3.30AM on Monday, 11th January. However, full details on the illness are yet to be known.
Lindiwe was a prominent figure in South Africa’s film scene. One of the most memorable moments of her career was when she won a SAFTA award in the Best Actress category in 2013 and the award was presented to her by Hollywood icon Samuel Jackson.
She starred on big-screen movies and had roles in Safari (2013) and Winnie Mandela (2011) starring Jennifer Hudson and Terrance Howard. Additionally, she a household favorite for her performances in various local TV productions including Mzansi Magic’s hit series Lockdown and drama Ifalakhe.
