Chef Pete Goffe-Wood Opens New Restaurant in the Winelands
Celebrity chef Pete Goffe-Wood has opened a new restaurant in the Winelands.
The restaurant is at Paarl’s iconic Grande Roche Hotel, and the chef bought it and renovated it from a previous owner.
According to Goffe-Wood, the new restaurant will sit around 90 guests, and occupies an entire floor of the hotel’s main building.

He has named it Viande, which is French for meat.
The main focus will be the finest meat cuts, but all modern culinary trends will be served too.
There is also a fully stocked bar at the restaurant, stocking 80% local alcohol.
