Nasty C Debuts On ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’
Last week Friday Nasty C made a major daytime American TV debut when he performed his ‘Black And White’ song that features Dreamville’s Ari Lennox on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ and that performance has surfaced online for people to view.
The performance was presented by Tiffany Haddish and finds both artists set in a white location, performing the song. Nasty C performs with some band support while Ari Lennox does her part in solitude as it seems like they weren’t understandably in the same room during the recording just like the music video.
‘Black And White’ is, of course, part of the Coming 2 America soundtrack (Rhythms of Zamunda), and within just 4 days of its premiere, ‘Black And White’ surpassed a million views and was one of YouTube’s top 3 trending videos for several days. Directed by Kyle White, the video sees Nasty C making time for long-distance love as he gifts his American collaborator a bouquet of roses and you can watch it here.
Recently signed to Def Jam Records, through a joint venture with Universal Music Africa, the 23-year-old rapper is prepping for the release of his third album, Zulu Man With Some Power. The signing sees the South African artist join a music royalty roster that includes the likes of Kanye West, Justin Beiber and Nas.
