South African comedian Trevor Noah celebrated his 7 million Instagram followers- milestone yesterday. Taking to Instagram, Trevor joked that his brain is expanding from having to remember each of his followers’ by name as it is the respectable thing to do.

“When people assume you get a big head cause you hit 7 million followers on the gram, but don’t consider… that it could just be your brain expanding at a crazy ridiculous rate from trying to remember every follower by name, because that’s the respectable thing to do! 😂 If you’re reading this, thank you for following along!” Trevor captioned.

The Daily Show host has experienced immense success in 2020, with the talk show being among the highest rated in the US during this pandemic period, when many late night shows were produced at home.

2020 has also seen Trevor grace the cover of GQ and be named one of GQ’s personalities of the year.

The comedian also revealed that he battles depression and has been seeing a therapist for 4 years. He shared that he thought his irregular sleeping schedule was normal as he didn’t have a regular 9-5 job as a stand up comedian, but later turned out to be a sign of depression.

“That’s one of the greatest blessings that ‘The Daily Show’ has given me. One of the best things for depression is routine and goal-oriented tasks,” Trevor shared. The Grammy award nominee is set to host the 2021 Grammy Awards.
