Get To Know Miss Universe SA 2020, Natasha Joubert
The top three contestants of the Miss South Africa 2020 are set to represent South Africa on different world contests. Reigning Miss South Africa 2020 Shudufhadzo Mudiso will represent the country in the Miss World pageant. Natasha Joubert will represent the country in the Miss Universe pageant and Thato Mosehle will represent South Africa in the MissĀ Supranational contest.
Miss Universe South Africa, Natasha Jouvert, described the opportunity as a humbling honor. The model describes herself as unwavering, compassionate and ambitious.

Natasha took a recent interview where she answered 12 questioned designed to help her fans know her better. In the interview, Natasha describes herself as being a tomboy in her younger days and she preferred playing with boys back then.
“I was quite a tomboy as a little girl. I would much rather play with boys outside and was the only girl in my karate class,” she said.
When asked about the women who inspire her, she said she looks up to former Miss SA Rolene Strauss. She describes her as an epitome of grace and resilience.
“She is the kind of woman who is the epitome of grace and resilience. She inspires me to stay true to myself, to work hard and to practice self love,” she says of Rolene Strauss.
When asked about her female role models, Natasha names Michelle Obama and Meghan Markle.
“Michelle Obama, who is a woman helping to change the nation for the better, advocating for women to receive education around the globe. And Meghan Markle who has stayed true to herself despite circumstances,” she explains.
Her hobbies include hiking, camping and travelling. She enjoys sports, playing action hockey in particular. She also enjoys spending quality time with friends.
“I thrive in a natural environment,” she says of herself.

She speaks fondly of her family, saying both her parents worked for FNB. Her mother Ninette currently works as an area manager. She says her mother spent one year in law school at 18 but is now completing her LLB at 50 years. She describes her father as her reason behind her drive to bring effective change to unemployment.
“I got my leadership qualities from him and he is the reason behind my drive to bring effective change to unemployment. He was unemployed for three years before passing away in 2013. Which taught me to rise above my circumstances,” she says of her father.

She has 2 elder siblings, a brother aged 25 and a sister aged 27. Both are attorneys, notaries and conveyancers. Her favourite meal is Oumie’s stew and her guilty pleasure is salted caramel Haagen Dazs.
