Actress and TV personality Minne Dlamini has been announced as the DStv Mzansi Viewers Choice Awards (MVCA) 2020 host.
The ceremony will take place at the Ticketpro Dome on March 14 and will be broadcast live on Mzansi Magic. Unlike other awards where winners are selected by a panel or a few industry peers, the Viewers Choice Awards is open to public voting.
Anyone can vote for any nominee either on the website; via SMS by sending your favourite nominee’s code to 39201; USSD by dialing *120*33033#; or on the DStv app. Some of the categories available for public voting include:
Favourite TV presenter
Favourite Comedian
Favourite Rising Star
Favourite Radio Personality
Favourite DJ
Favourite Sports Personality
etc.
Minnie is herself not a stranger in the Mzansi Magic kingdom, being the host of Homeground – a sports and lifestyle show.
“Being part of the MultiChoice family has been a great honour for me not only as part of the productions that I work on, but to have the team bestow such a big responsibility is something I do not take for granted. A production of this magnitude has no do-overs and my greatest wish is to make all the viewers proud of my work as they are the people we are celebrating on the day,” she said following the news.
