Cape Town Car License Fees 2020
The Provincial Minister of Transport and Public Works in the Western Cape has this week gazetted an increased fee structure for motor vehicle registration and licenses.
The notice affects license fees for cars, motorcycles, trucks, trailers and caravans in the entire provice. The average incrase is 4.5% across all categories.
These new fees, according to the notice, will come into effect on April 1, 2020.
These license fees are important for the provincial government as they help build and upgrade roads under provincial ownership, as well as fund their maintenance.
