A light aircraft crashed on Olympia Road, Dal Fouche in Springs on Monday morning, injuring 2 people.
The two occupants were an instructor and a learner, and according to Pieter Rudolph, senior district manager of emergency planning at the City of Ekurhuleni, they only sustained minor injuries.
“They were not seriously injured and were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulance,” Rudolph told News24.
“The scene of the accident is under control and has been stabilised. We are awaiting the arrival of the South African Civil Aviation Authority to investigate the scene.”
The accident was reported at around 06:58, and paramedics were quick to respond. The occupants, both male, were treated on the scene before being being transported to the hospital.
