After months of living in the shadow of Zodwa Wabantu, one of the dancer’s ex is now trying to grow wings of his own. Ntobeko Linda, who broke up with Zodwa in July last year, is now seeking to establish his own career in showbiz.
Zodwa and Ntobeko had dated for several months, and were just about to have their wedding. In July 2019, the 34 year old dancer and socialite announced that the wedding was off. Details of the split were not given.
Zodwa had gone against tradition by buying her own engagement ring, and paying lobola to her fiancé family.
She them made headlines by demanding this money back weeks later.
Zodwa has since moved on to another relationship, and now Ntobeko wants to start a career as an actor. “I’m young and I want to explore more in life and grab any opportunity that comes my way.” He told Daily Sun.
His first role came SABC1’s Uzalo last week.
“I’m still new to this thing. I hope producers will see my talent and I’ll get more roles,” he said.
On his relationship with Zodwa, he Ntobeko did not have much to say. “I wish not to comment on anything involving Zodwa. I’ve moved on after the break-up and she has moved on too.”
