It has now been confirmed that Cardi B is coming to South Africa.
The I Like It singer will headline the 10th anniversary Castle Lite Unlocks concert, scheduled for Friday, 12 June 2020 at Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg.
This will be Cardi’s first trip to South Africa and her second in Africa, after last year’s trips to Nigeria and Ghana.
News spread like wildfire, reportedly crashing the tickets website in a matter of minutes.

Part of the reason people flooded the site is to catch the early bird price. At 3pm on Thursday, the official price was R50, with and increase of R50 every 30 minutes until 7pm when she was announced as the headliner.
There were only limited tickets, which would explain why everyone on Twitter was wondering whether anyone got any.
It reached a point where the ticket price was R450, but as soon as they came online, they sold out.
