McBride Reveals How Corruption Investigations Were Frustrated by Police

Robert McBrideJOHANNESBURG – Robert McBride, the former head of Ipid, has today revealed how attempts to investigate corruption at Crime Intelligence were thwarted.

Taking the stand at the Zondo Commission of Inquiry, McBride revealed how police management and classification was used to hide the truth.

McBride told the commission tasked with dealing with capture within the criminal justice system, that request for information was often met with resistance and classification of documents for the purpose of cover-ups.
